Approach
In the assigned project centered on creating posters inspired by films, I selected "Jekyll and Hyde" as my subject matter. Initially, I approached the design process with a literal mindset, attempting to depict specific scenes from the story. However, I quickly realized that this approach wasn't yielding the desired impact, as the complexity of the narrative didn't translate effectively into visual form.
Refocusing my strategy, I opted for a more minimalist approach infused with a touch of imagery to evoke the essence of the tale. This led me to craft a text-centric poster with a central focus on the character of "Hyde," represented through a visually striking depiction that conveys his deteriorating and sinister nature. Despite encountering several challenges and undergoing multiple iterations, I persisted until reaching a final design that encapsulated the themes and mood of "Jekyll and Hyde" in a succinct and impactful manner.
